The Madalena Paiva Radioncology Clinic, in Angra do Heroísmo, was inaugurated in 2021. It is one of only two healthcare units in the Autonomous Region of the Azores to provide Radiotherapy treatments.
This unit was created to enable faster access to the most advanced cancer treatment technologies, such as leading Radiotherapy procedures. The Clinic’s specialists work together with the Hospital do Santo Espírito staff and take part in Therapeutic Decision meetings for the most varied oncological pathologies.
This experienced team is supported by state-of-the-art equipment to accompany patients in the various stages of treatment. As a result, The Madalena Paiva Radioncology Clinic can implement several specialized treatments instrumental in fighting cancer.
