Lung Cancer Screening at Clínica de Radioncologia do Algarve

On 12 May, the Clínica de Radioncologia do Algarve provided the local community with free lung cancer screening.

This type of cancer is one of the most frequent among the Portuguese population, growing particularly in the female population in recent years.

Early detection using low dose Computed Tomography (CT Scan), enables tumours to be identified in the initial stages when these are still small and curable.

Therefore, we invited residents to carry out this screening in our facilities! Appointments were made by telephoning 289 899 131between 9am and 4pm, and there was a limited number of openings.
