More than 650 people tested for diabetes in the Joaquim Chaves Saúde campaign

Joaquim Chaves Saúde carried out more than 600 free diabetes screenings in a 4-day campaign, aimed at raising awareness to this condition, which is so prevalent in the Portuguese population and which is often silent, making early diagnosis is a challenge for this particular disease.

The initiative was launched under the World Diabetes Day banner, and had the collaboration of several Joaquim Chaves Saúde’s teams, which included lab technicians and nurses. In total, there were 450 screenings carried out at Alegro Sintra and 200 at CascaiShopping.
