Laboratório Dr. Joaquim Chaves is the first centre in Portugal to install Idylla Platform.

This new equipment makes it possible to have results of molecular diagnosis exams within 24h, instead of the usual 5 to 7 days. We are now focused on molecular diagnosis associated to melanoma, colorectal cancer and virology.

Diagnosing in such a short period of time allows our professionals to quickly gather all necessary information and take appropriate measures regarding the best treatment for their patients.

Currently, we are able to have diagnosis results for BRAF, KRAS and NRAS genes in a few hours. The same technology is also used for liquid biopsies studies, when monitoring patients with BRAF gene mutation.

The Idylla platform is quite simple to handle and basically minimizes human error by substantially reducing the necessary steps in a molecular analysis procedure.
