Every day, 11 people are diagnosed with breast cancer. In Portugal, there are 4500 new cases every year.
Tomosynthesisis a modern technique for digital mammography. This exam allows a 3D detailed analysis of the whole volume of the breast, with 1mm slices.
The minuteness achieved with this equipment enables high precision detection of suspicious lesions that could easily pass unnoticed in a conventional mammography.
Also, this exam involves less hassle since there is reduced compression of the breast.
