Paediatricians look after children as outpatients and inpatients, covering the areas of growth monitoring, development, preventive medicine and management of acute and chronic diseases and also somatic and psychosocial diseases.

Pediatrics appointment is generally conducted by a paediatrician, from birth until adolescence. Regular monitoring appointments are scheduled for key ages of psychomotor development of the child and teenager.
