Laboratory of Pathological Anatomy

The Pathology Laboratory of Joaquim Chaves Saúde is, since 2020, located in our CORE building, a laboratory reference with unique architecture and infrastructures and the most advanced equipment. This Laboratory is a leading diagnostics facility capable of the most varied techniques in several fields of medicine.

With an experienced team and leading equipment, this unit provides precise and fast response to breast, skin, genitourinary, gynecological, gastrointestinal and endocrine conditions.

Professionals at the unit are uniquelly prepared to deliver a complete and accurate Oncology diagnosis, instrumental in setting the best course of treatment for each patient.

Using state-of-the-art technology, we investigate cancer with unprecedented precision.

The Anatomical Pathology Laboratory’s goal is to provide the shortest response times so that therapeutic solutions are implemented as quickly as possible. Results of cytology exams, for instance, are available in just 4 hours and, urgent biopsie are ready in 8 hours.

The laboratory is certified under the ISO 9001 standard, which regulates the excellence of biological procedures. In addition, the medical team engages in several external evaluation programs, from the technical laboratory area to diagnosis, to ensure the highest quality standards.
